Community Guidelines
FAIT works because everyone on it acts in good faith. These guidelines define what we expect from homeowners and trade partners alike.
Last updated: March 2025
1. Be Honest
Provide accurate information when creating your account, describing your needs, or listing your services. Misrepresenting your identity, qualifications, or the scope of work is grounds for immediate removal from the platform.
2. Communicate Respectfully
All interactions on FAIT — through messaging, reviews, and support — should be respectful and professional. Harassment, threats, discriminatory language, and abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
3. Honor Your Commitments
- Homeowners: Show up for scheduled appointments, cancel with reasonable notice, and pay as agreed.
- Trade partners: Arrive on time, complete work to the agreed scope, and communicate proactively if circumstances change.
4. Keep Transactions on Platform
Side deals that bypass the FAIT platform — including paying for services off-platform to avoid fees — undermine the trust and protections that FAIT provides to both parties. Side deals void our satisfaction guarantee and dispute protections.
5. Leave Honest Reviews
Reviews should reflect your genuine experience. Do not offer incentives for positive reviews, threaten negative reviews, or submit fake reviews for services you did not receive. Review manipulation is a permanent ban offense.
6. Protect Privacy
Do not share the personal information of other users — including contact details, addresses, or payment information — outside the context of the service being performed.
7. Trade Partners: Maintain Your Credentials
Your license, insurance, and background check must remain current. If any credential expires or changes materially, you are required to notify FAIT immediately. Operating with lapsed credentials is grounds for suspension.
Enforcement
Violations of these guidelines may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal depending on severity. FAIT reserves the right to remove any user from the platform at its discretion. Serious violations may be reported to relevant authorities.
Report a Violation
If you believe another user has violated these guidelines, please contact our support team. All reports are reviewed by a human member of the FAIT team.
