How FAIT Vets Every Free Agent
License verification, insurance confirmation, background checks, and a human review. We walk through every step of our vetting process.
Why Vetting Matters
Letting a stranger into your home requires trust. At FAIT, we believe that trust should be earned through verification, not assumed through a five-star rating from anonymous reviewers. Every free agent on our platform goes through a multi-step vetting process before they can accept a single job. ## Step 1: License Verification For trades that require state or local licensing, we verify that the applicant holds valid, current credentials. We check the license number against state databases and confirm it covers the services they plan to offer. ## Step 2: Insurance ConfirmationAll free agents must carry active general liability insurance. We verify the policy is current and covers the type of work they perform. This protects you if something goes wrong during a job. ## Step 3: Background Check Every applicant undergoes a background check. We look for criminal history, fraud, and other red flags that would disqualify someone from working in your home. ## Step 4: Human Review After the automated checks pass, a member of the FAIT team reviews the application personally. We look at the applicant's experience, trade specialty, service area, and overall fit for the platform. ## Ongoing Monitoring Vetting does not stop at approval. We track job completion rates, client feedback, and response times. Free agents who consistently underperform are removed from the platform. ## The 3-Per-Trade-Per-Zip Rule We limit each zip code to 3 free agents per trade. This exclusivity means every agent on the platform has been hand-selected, not just approved through an automated funnel.
